My Child,

Things aren’t always what they seem. A caterpillar looks like it will
never be anything but a lowly worm. It crawls around in the dirt. In winter,
the trees are bare and dead. Then spring rolls around, and those same trees
are full of blossoms and green leaves. You should know just from looking at
nature that there’s more to life than meets the eye.

The same is true with people. Don’t give up on anybody. The ugliest
person may turn out to have a favorite kitten named Fluffy. (I create
humans in My image, and I’m full of surprises.) Expect to find the good
in people, and in time, you will see them as I see them—worthy of
great love and respect.

TAKE A CHILL PILL

In your anger do not sin; when you are
in your beds, search your hearts and be still.

Psalm 4:4


My Child,

Has anyone ever told you, “Just sleep on it”? That’s often good
advice. Sometimes you’ll be so angry about something that you can’t
see straight. That is not a good time to make a decision. When you’re
angry, you may blurt out something rude and later think, I can’t
believe I said that.

My advice is, just wait. When you’re mad, don’t act. If someone is
forcing you to make a decision while you’re mad, tell them you need
some time to think about this. While you’re mad, tell me about it. Ask Me what I think back to you. Then just chill
out and pray about it.

You have emotions. Do whatever it takes to calm the situation. Breathe.
I want you to control your emotions, not the other way around.

Eternity is a mindblower. One writer described it like this: Imagine
every grain of sand in the world in one huge pile. Once every million
years, a bird comes in and takes one huge grain. Once that pile of sand is finally gone, the bird has to bring all the
sand back in the same way, and take it away again a million more
times. In all that time, only a fraction of one second eternity will
have passed. I am eternal.

If you put a rough stone into a rushing river, eventually that
stone will
be polished smooth. If you leave the stone longer, it will even
be ground to sand. But I am the Rock eternal. I will never grow
worn.
I am as strong and dependable today as I have ever been. I will never
let
you down.
